January 25, 2016, 12:00 p.m. — High school basketball is well underway in the Washington, D.C. region. Snow storm Jonas pummeled the area with record snowfall, so we have a shortened week of action.
Here are the Top 8 plays from the week:
No. 8: W.T. Woodson’s Matt Ayoub scores his 1,000th career point.
No. 7: Friendly’s Jonathan Arrington pulls out the spin move before hitting the pull up jumper.
No. 6: South Lakes Marcus Cherry comes up with the steal, leading to the one-handed dunk.
No. 5: Champe’s Kuony Deng throws down the one-handed dunk in transition.
No. 4: Gonzaga’s Prentiss Hubb delivers the backdoor bounce pass to Chris Lykes for the and-one.
No. 3: T.C. Williams DeJuan Robinson nails two free throws in overtime to give the Titans the overtime win.
No. 2: Freedom-South Riding’s Zach Collins banks in the game-winning shot before time runs out against Heritage.
No. 1: Freedom-Woodbridge’s James West IV goes coast-to-coast for the game-winning layup against Battlefield.
