January 4, 2016, 12:00 p.m. — High school basketball is well underway in the Washington, D.C. region, with many teams competing in holiday tournament action. Week 4 saw a slew of fantastic plays, including great passes, big dunks and game-winners.
Here are the Top 10 plays from the week:
No. 10: Thurgood Marshall’s Desmond Rene hits the spinning layup on the and-one.
No. 9: Eleanor Roosevelt’s Michael Bryant throws down the two-handed slam in traffic.
No. 8: O’Connell’s Randall Gaskins comes up with the help side block.
No. 7: Eleanor Roosevelt’s Naji Marshall throws down the dunk in traffic and hits the deep three at the third-quarter buzzer.
No. 6: Bladensburg’s Daniel Oladapo comes up with the steal and two-handed dunk.
No. 5: Stone Bridge’s Evan Buckley hits the half-court shot at the third-quarter buzzer.
No. 4: Rock Ridge’s Deontay Compton gets the steal at half court and posterizes his defender.
No. 3: IDEA’s Tunde Scrivner throws the alley oop to Kierel Green.
No. 2: Flint Hill’s Justin Taylor comes up with the steal on the inbound pass to preserve the one-point victory over Archbishop Curley (PA).
No. 1: Georgetown Prep’s Mezie Offurum banks in the game-winning three at the buzzer to give the Little Hoyas the one-point win over Good Counsel.
