February 20th, 2016, 12:00 p.m. –High school basketball is just getting started here in the Washington, D.C. region. Week 11 saw a slew of fantastic plays, including great passes, big dunks and game-winners.

Here are the Top plays from the weekend:

No. 10St. John’s junior guard Tre Wood dribbles downcourt and beats the buzzer for his fifth three-pointer of the half. The Cadets would end up beating O’Connell 72-66.

No. 9Wolverines guard Daryl Mackey Jr. gets the steal and breakaway dunk to put an exclamation point on West Potomac’s second straight conference 7 championship!

No. 8With time running out in the first quarter, Stone Bridge junior James DiLuigi chucks the ball up from beyond half-court and drains it as the buzzer sounds! Stone Bridge went on to upset Broad Run 60-48.

No. 7In the first quarter, St. Charles Senior Derrick Carter grabs a rebound, who passes the ball to Sophomore Anthony Bowman. Anthony throws a full court bounce pass to Sean Patterson for the dunk. St. Charles went on to get the 61-56 win.

No. 6Potomac Senior Travis Henson was able to get out on the fast break for the statement dunk to seal the deal. This was the dagger that helped Wolverines beat Central 77-71.

No. 5Gonzaga junior guard Prentiss Hubb gets the block and passes the ball to senior guard Chris Lykes, who makes an incredible behind the back pass to himself for the one handed layup and the foul in the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ 82-75 loss to DeMatha.

No. 4: Champe guard Dom Fragala scored 46 points and broke the VHSL state record for most free throws made in the process! The Knights went on to beat Kettle Run 79-73.

No. 3: DuVal senior Kenyon Stone finishes the fast break with the thunderous two-handed slam and the foul to give Duval the lead! Stone finished with 30 and the Tigers beat the Jaguars 84-80

No. 2With the game tied and less than a minute left, West Potomac guard Khalil Williams-Diggins hits the go-ahead pull-up jumper to give the Wolverines the 60-57 win over Annandale!

No. 1With the game tied in the 4th, Wakefield Senior Alan Treakle gets the inbound and darts his way to the rim, converting the difficult layup over a Marshall defender as the buzzer sounds to give the Warriors the 42-40 win!
