October 31st, 2016, 12:00 p.m. — High school football continues for all teams in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Week 9 saw many fantastic plays, including lengthy touchdown runs, great passes and game-winners.
Here are the Top 10 plays from the weekend:
No. 10: W.T. Woodson’s Jo Jo Heisley breaks a 70-yard touchdown run.
No. 9: Lee’s Diego Menefee catches a deep pass from Kraig Hamilton and stiff arms a defender for a 66-yard touchdown.
No. 8: Sherwood’s Travis Levy breaks an 85-yard touchdown run. Levy would finish the game with six touchdown runs.
No. 7: Maret’s Garrison Burnett breaks a 65-yard touchdown run in their 43-14 win over Flint Hill. The win gives Maret a share of the MAC title for the 1st time in school history.
No. 6: Georgetown Prep’s Owen Wright hurdles a defender in their 35-0 win over Landon
No. 5: Hayfield’s Jacob Keeney throws a pass to Brian Cobbs who makes a great one-handed catch in the endzone for a touchdown.
No. 4: Glenelg’s Wande Owens scores the game-winning touchdown in the third quarter against Howard.
No. 3: Yorktown pulls out a trick play as receiver Davis Patterson throws to D.J. Isaac for an 80-yard touchdown.
No. 2: Oakton’s Ahmad Shaw finds John Daido for the game-winning touchdown in the Cougars 43-26 upset win over Falls Church
No. 1: McLean’s blocks the go-ahead field goal and Amir McCormick takes it back for a touchdown in the Highlanders 28-20 win over Fairfax.
