October 24th, 2016, 12:00 p.m. — High school football continues for all teams in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Week 8 saw many fantastic plays, including lengthy touchdown runs, great passes and game-winners.
Here are the Top 10 plays from the weekend:
No. 10: Potomac Falls’ Kash Jackson stiff arms a defender on his way to a 68-yard touchdown run.
No. 9: Westfield’s Rehman Johnson finds Ivory Frimpong for a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 35-0 victory.
No. 8: H.D. Woodson’s Noah Boykin intercepts a pass and returns it 99 yards for a touchdown.
No. 7: Einstein’s Christian Greaves intercepts a pass in the endzone and takes it back for a 102-yard touchdown.
No. 6: Maret’s Coby Davis drops a punt but then picks it up and returns it 79 yards for a touchdown.
No. 5: Bell runs a trick play as running back Teyonte McKenzie throws a pass to Andrae Green for a touchdown.
No. 4: Wooton’s Elijah Trent makes an insane one-handed catch in the Patriots’ 42-7 win.
No. 3: Mount Vernon’s Mikel Gamble returns an onside kick for a touchdown in the Majors 52-39 victory
No. 2: Howard’s Robby Porter finds Cameron Hooper for the game-winning touchdown late in the 4th quarter.
No. 1: With Clarksburg getting ready to tie the game, Richard Montgomery’s Ty Hebron blocks the extra point to seal the Rockets 28-27 win.
