October 17th, 2016, 12:00 p.m. — High school football continues for all teams in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Week 7 saw many fantastic plays, including lengthy touchdown runs, great passes and game-winners.
Here are the Top 10 plays from the weekend:
No. 10: Falls Church’s Dakwandre Marshall takes a run and goes 75 yards for a Jaguars touchdown.
No. 9: Richard Montgomery’s Ty Hebron takes the handoff and appears to be stopped but breaks free for a 90-yard touchdown.
No. 8: Walter Johnson’s Christopher Carlyle intercepts a pass and takes it back 95 yards for a Wildcats touchdown.
No. 7: Yorktown’s Tanner Wall takes a direct snap and makes 4 defenders miss for a 40 yard touchdown.
No. 6: Hayfield’s Brian Cobbs catches a pass, spins, and then sprints down the sidelines for an 85 yard touchdown.
No. 5: Sherwood’s Michael Mbony takes the direct snap and jukes several defenders for an 85 yard gain.
No. 4: Dominion’s Vashon McCants scrambles, makes 4 defenders miss and escapes for a 45 yard touchdown.
No. 3: Watkins Mill’s Daquan Wims takes a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.
No. 2: Westfield kicker Brian Delaney nails a 42-yard field goal as time expires to give the bulldogs a 29-28 win over Robinson.
No. 1: Broad Run’s Mitch Griffis finds Meech Hembry for the game-winning touchdown with a minute left, giving Broad Run their first victory over Stone Bridge since 2013.
