Georgetown partners with Synthesis to broadcast home football, soccer and lacrosse games
September, 12 2013 — Georgetown University will broadcast its home football, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s lacrosse games live on its platform at GUHOYAS.COM, partnering with Synthesis Multimedia Productions to place nearly 50 home games LIVE on the world wide web.
“We’re very excited about our partnership with Synthesis Multimedia Productions,” said Dan O’Neil, Georgetown’s Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs. “It will be a tremendous relationship for our athletics programs and bolster our online video presence for Georgetown. We expect that our alumni and fans will be very happy with the product they see this year and in the future. It’s a great step forward for our department.”
The games will be broadcast live at GUHOYAS.COM/ALLACCESS. The site is part of a CBS Sports Interactive initiative that provides Georgetown a platform for its live content and multimedia replays.
While Georgetown has previously streamed and recorded its sporting events on this platform, the new partnership with Synthesis Multimedia — the parent company of DMVSTREAM.COM — will elevate the production value of each piece of content, adding four camera angles, graphics, a production team, crew, camera operators, play-by-play, analysts, sideline reporters and more that will provide the viewer true “all access.”
