“Top Plays” returns to Washingtonpost.com & AllMetSports.com for a fifth year

August 15, 2016 — The Washington Post welcomes back “Top Plays,” a weekly top-10 style high school football show that enters its fifth year.

Host B.J. Koubaroulis will bring you the area’s best catches, touchdowns, tackles, spin moves and more in a studio style presentation that welcomes content from viewers. Catch the show Mondays at AllMetSports.com.

“We are excited to continue to grow this show as a presence and staple among high school coaches, parents and players in the DMV,” said B.J. Koubaroulis. “When we first started this show, I never imagined what it would grow into. The appetite for this kind of video content continues to amaze me.”

The show combines video captured by DMVSTREAM.COM sports videographers, employed by DMVSTREAM.COM’s parent company — Synthesis Multimedia — as well as video captured and submitted by parents, coaches, players and others. At the completion of the season, each No. 1 play is compiled into a list made available for voting at Washingtonpost.com and the winner of that poll is selected as the “Top Play” of that season.

“Top Plays,” was the concept and brain-child of Synthesis Multimedia’s Director of Operations, Nick Plum.

“The DMV area is one of the best in the country for Friday night lights action, housing numerous future Division 1 athletes. Giving these student-athletes a stage to spotlight their weekly accomplishments in a Top 10 style ranking show is something I’m proud to help produce for allmetsports.com.”

Synthesis Multimedia and DMVSTREAM.COM combine to provide The Washington Post more than 400 pieces of original video content a year. Those videos, including highlight packages, shows, features, live broadcasts and more, are featured at AllMetSports.com and then offered for download at DMVSTREAM.COM.
