September 28, 2015, 2:05 p.m. — High school football is well underway in the Washington, D.C. metro region. Week 5 saw a slew of fantastic plays, including lengthy touchdown runs, great individual performances and game-winning touchdowns.

Here are the Top 10 plays from the weekend:

No. 10: Patuxent senior running back Chris Long runs for the lengthy score.

No. 9: Maret junior quarterback Garrison Burnett keeps the ball for the long touchdown run.

No. 8: West Springfield junior quarterback Peter Muskett connects with junior receiver Daniel Adu for the touchdown.

No. 7: Hylton sophomore running back Ricky Slade goes for the long touchdown.

No. 6: South County senior quarterback DeAndre Clayton throws for six touchdowns, including a bomb to sophomore receiver Dillon Spalding.

No. 5: Lake Braddock senior quarterback scrambles and runs for the touchdown on fourth down late in a close game.

No. 4: Woodgrove junior quarterback Mike Kovich scrambles and connects with senior receiver Mikey Bryant in overtime.

No. 3: Hayfield senior running back Myles Ross rushes for 270 yards and four touchdowns.

No. 2: St. John’s junior running back Ryan Vessels gets into the endzone for the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

No. 1: Tuscarora senior quarterback Daniel Smith has six total touchdowns, including the game-winning pass to senior running back James Douglas.
