August 26, 2015, 4:54 p.m. — According to Mark Giannotto of the Washington Post, H.D. Woodson and Ballou are the two schools with high expectations in the DCIAA. H.D. Woodson will be going for their third consecutive Turkey Bowl title, and will be led by Parnell Motley, a Maryland commit who will play both wide receiver and defensive back for the Warriors this season. Their primary competition will be Ballou, the team they defeated in the Turkey Bowl last season. Although H.D. Woodson is the traditional power, Ballou is a team on the rise with running back Marquis Hamilton and wide receiver Delontae Moore leading the way.

Giannotto also eyes Friendship Collegiate, Avalon and Riverdale Baptist as the big programs to watch among the independents. Riverdale Baptist has a roster full of talent, including seven Division I players. Their defense will be led by two Big Ten commits, Michigan prospect Sir Patrick Scott and Penn State prospect Zechariah McPhearson. The Crusaders not only have a loaded roster, but their schedule is loaded with high profile games as well.
